Since Aaran’s inception in 2008, the Gallery has organized some exceptional exhibitions in Iran and abroad. The Gallery focuses on nurturing and promoting some of Iran’s most progressive emerging artists aged between 25 and 40. The Gallery’s mission is to show the real Iranian contemporary art, its tensions, and its messages. The Gallery has its office on two floors in the first space on Karimkhan Ave.
The second space, Aaran Projects, was opened in 2015.
The latter space is located in the heart of mid-town Tehran, in a cultural district home to two of Tehran’s main theatres. The building is the third part of the twin houses in a small unique alley, designed by an Armenian Architect in the 1930s.
