Siamak Filizadeh
Siamak was born in 1970 Tehran. He received his high school diploma in Art in 1990 and graduated from Tehran Azad University in Graphic Design with BA degree in 1995.
From 1988, Siamak started his career as graphic designer, working in different fields of designing, advertising, branding, and visual arts. He has been appointed as the Art Director and Graphic Designer of the Iranian Fajr Film Festival for the period of five years from 1997 to 2002.
In his art works, Siamak uses the visual language of advertising with its authorial intentions, not only as a tool to mock Iranian's high end consumerist aspirations but also ironically points to the impossibility of the production of these products in contemporary Iran.
Siamak was awarded several prizes such as:
The first prize of poster designing for the “Tehran Alumni Festival” in 1992
The first prize of poster designing for the “First Soureh Graphic Festival” in 1993
The first prize of poster designing for the “Graphic Festival of University Jihad” in 1993
The first prize of poster designing for the “ Graphic Festival of University Jihad” in 1994
The first prize of the book cover designing in the “Sixth Biennale of Graphic Art of Iran” in 1998
The 2nd prize of the poster designing for the “Seventh Biennale of Graphic Art of Iran” in 2001
