The subject of my work is mainly based on urban environments and their occupants. Through my work I explore and comment on a variety of social exchanges and tensions which underline contemporary Iranian society, particularly amongst its youth.

I tend to use drawing and painting as my main medium and occasionally turn to photography.

A number of my drawings have been printed in Tandis Magazine, number 11 & 24, which specialises in fine arts.

I have also wrote and translated a number of articles on contemporary Western artists for Tandis magazine, number 41, 44, 46, 48, 49, 57…153.

My work has also been referred to in 'Building Bridges & Connecting the worlds', Final thesis by Hamid Zerafatpisheh, University of Brighton, 2006-07, p 35-40.

Works in progress

Producing a series of photographs which represents portrait of Iranian youths who use famous paintings as tattoos.

Creating a body of large figurative watercolours.

BFA in painting from Tehran University

Currently studying MFA at Art University (Tehran).
